Instructor will meet class via Zoom where students will present their Final Pitch Deck to instructor and classmates in real time.
Students are expected to present their slides and overlay their verbal pitch atop them. Date 12/06/23
REFLECTION:
This is an assignment that I find exciting yet intimidating. From creating the pitch deck to the pitching itself, I was particularly nervous about this assignment as I have never pitched a film idea before. However, I find the whole experience to be exciting, fun and educating. While working on the pitch deck itself, I use every point that I have learned from Nick up to that point about pitching such as detailing the characters' background story, the mood and the ambience of the sets. I dove into my own creativity in editing the images by using my photoshop skill. As I present my pitch, I found myself engrossed in the excitement of presenting the synopsis as well as persuading my audience why this particular project is a worthwhile project to produce.

STEP#3 - CREATE a Business Plan.
Create an overall business plan for a film or tv project which will include ideas and strategies covered in the course. Include a marketing plan, finance plan and distribution ideas for your project. Include cast and filming details such as location and tax credits.
REFLECTION:
Creating a business plan for SKIN was an exciting assignment for me. I had such confident that this is a truly worthwhile project to invest in. I worked on the budget based on Neal's lecture from the previous semester where we researched comparable films that carries the same theme and genre. I worked on the Marketing Plan which I learned over this semester such as promotion and advertisement. I think this project has several potential in terms of product placement as well as an escape room as an immersive experience that could be a great way to promoting this particular film project.
